- Implementation of ECOBOTS: To address these challenges, we implemented two ECOBOTS. One ubicated on a general position and another one specific to the kitchen. These devices allowed for more precise monitoring and control of energy consumption in real time.

- Kitchen Energy Consumption: The energy audit revealed that the kitchen was the primary energy consumer in the hotel, largely attributed to the positioning and constant operation of the refrigeration equipment.
- Inefficient Refrigeration Equipment: The refrigeration equipment was placed closely together, leading to inefficient operation and higher energy consumption. Furthermore, these units ran non-stop, 24/7, without any control settings in place to maximize their efficiency.
Implemented Solutions
- Separation of Hot and Cold Areas: In order to enhance efficiency, a decision was made to separate the hot and cold areas using thermal insulation. This strategic measure effectively reduced heat transfer and subsequently decreased the energy consumption of the refrigeration equipment.
- Installation of Load Timer Relays: Load timer relays were installed to control the operation of the cooling equipment. These devices allowed for more efficient operation by reducing the operating time of the equipment when it was not necessary.
Results
- 25% Energy Savings: The implemented solutions resulted in an impressive 25% saving in the hotel’s energy consumption. These savings not only translated into a significant reduction in operating costs, but also a positive impact on the hotel’s environmental sustainability.
